RYA Radar

This is a one-day course RYA Radar Course. The course is
aimed at anyone who needs to learn to set up and use the set effectively as a
navigation aid and for collision avoidance.

Did you know that the IRPCS (international Regulation of
Prevention of Collision at Sea), says that if you have a Radar onboard you must
use it?

Radars are a common feature onboard recreational and small
commercial vessels and yet are not always used to its full potential. In fact,
many people fear turning it on because they don’t know how to use it properly.

The course
content was developed by the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) to meet the needs
of small boat operators, both power and sail.

 This is
“hands-on” training in small groups limited to 5 participants. You will gain
the confidence to navigate by radar in conditions of restricted visibility and
the knowledge to interpret what you are seeing on your radar screen.
